Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration

The aging process usually hits us in two ways.  First, we have drooping and sagging.  For this, we have our wonderful QuickLift.  Secondly, we have surface issues like wrinkling, sun damage cross hatching and a general loss of vitality in our skin.  This primarily shows up as crow’s feet, lipstick and forehead lines and sun damaged cross hatching in the face, neck and hands. 

This new technology goes beyond the scope of lasers into the realm of plasma.  Portrait, a treatment using  a highly charged ionized gas, as in the fourth state of matter - not the plasma in your blood, is FDA approved and backed by six years of clinical research and 30 clinical studies.   Unlike other skin rejuvenation treatments that char and evaporate the skin like lasers, with Portrait the skin surface stays intact until new skin architecture grows underneath. The benefit is that you can achieve true skin regeneration at the dermal layer, not merely resurfacing………. without the collateral damage, downtime and prolonged redness and risk of a laser.  The plasma energy works both on and below the surface of the skin to modify the skin’s architecture to regenerate new collagen. Results seen following a treatment actually get better over time with clinical studies showing continuing improvement for up to a year.  Plasma treatments are effective in reducing the look of fine lines and deep wrinkles, treating sun damaged skin, improving skin tone and texture, improving acne scars and tightening skin.  This new technology means we can make upper lip, crow’s feet and other surface wrinkles smoother.  

Portrait is a wonderful compliment to the QuickLift to treat wrinkles around the eyes and lips but it’s also great by itself.  The entire face, or just a target area, can be treated.  It can also be used in other parts of the body.  Current studies show promising results in smoothing and tightening acne scars. 

I need to see you for evaluation and to design your treatment protocol.  There’s a complete spectrum of treatments from no downtime called Portrait Express to a single, high energy treatment with CO2 like results.  The actual treatments are done in the office by Sharon and typically it takes around 30 minutes for a full face; however, you can target specific areas like the eyes or lips. The biggest inconvenience is that you may not be able to wear makeup for a few days.
